Summer Of Dreams

For homeless children in Central Florida, summer is anything but a vacation.

According to school officials in Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties, an estimated 11,000 children are considered homeless. They move frequently – living in shelters, motels and cars ... even on the streets. Summer brings added instability to their lives. During these months, most have nowhere to go, nothing constructive to do and no access to resources like free/reduced lunch that help them while school is in session.

Summer of Dreams was founded to help those children who would otherwise “fall through the cracks.” This free, 10-week program for homeless students in Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties provides resources to bridge the gap during summer break.

Since 2011, Summer of Dreams has reached more than 12,051 homeless children. You can help us reach even more in 2020.

A donation of just $186 sponsors a child for the entire 10-week program. Learn more.
